About WTVE

WTVE is an independent commercial television station serving its
city of license, Reading, Pennsylvania, as well as Philadelphia, Wilmington and
the Delaware River Valley. Broadcasting with 1.1 million watts from Mount
Penn, Pennsylvania, WTVE provides a signal to areas from Harrisburg to Southern
New Jersey, and is seen from the Susquehanna River to Atlantic City.

WTVE is carried on cable
television to over 1.6 million homes. With both cable and over-the-air
coverage, WTVE can be seen by nearly 4 million people.
WTVE operates on TV channel 51,
as well as on digital channel 25 as WTVE-DT. By July 2006, WTVE will be
operating with a high-power state-of-the-art digital television station as the
American television industry completes its transition to all digital TV.
Digital TV will give WTVE the ability to air multiple channels of programming as
well as to provide high-definition over-the-air TV service.
WTVE is owned and operated by Reading Broadcasting, Inc., a Pennsylvania
business corporation. Reading Broadcasting, which in 2005 celebrates 25
continuous years of operating WTVE , was started in 1980 by a small group of
Reading business and professional people dedicated to providing a local
television presence in Reading. The same company, still owned
overwhelmingly by present and past residents of Reading and Berks County, looks
forward to its second quarter century of service to Reading, Berks County,
southeastern Pennsylvania and the Delaware Valley.
